The Giving Tree
Brighten someone's Christmas by blessing them with your kindness. Stop by The Crossings on Sunday morning to pick up a tag and make this Christmas special for someone in need. Be sure to register each tag you take off the tree as each tag is special and may have different instructions.
Gifts for the UCI Haiti children will be due to the church office on or before November 19. All other gifts will be returned during any one of the worship services on Sunday, December 3.
50+ Fellowship Christmas Potluck
Please join 50+ on Thursday, December 21st at 11:30 am in the Crossings. Lena and her friend, Olga, (the wives of Ole and Sven) will help us celebrate Christmas. Will it be entertaining you ask? Ya, you betcha! Susie Bortz will accompany us as we sing a few Christmas favorites. Bring a dish to share and your own table service.
Thanksgiving Eve Service
The C Ave Churches Thanksgiving Eve Service will be held at Noelridge Christian Church, 7111 C Ave NE, on Wednesday, November 22, at 7:00 pm. This year’s preacher is our own Pastor Jody Skogen! An offering will be taken, and non-perishible food will be collected, for Marion Food Pantry and Crossroads Mission. If you would like to be a part of the Thanksgiving Choir, we invite you to come at 6:00 pm to rehearse a song selected for this event.
It's time to deck the halls of St. Mark's for Christmas! Join us on Tuesday, November 28 to make our church beautiful for the Advent Season and for our guests. We will start at 9 am and continue until we finish. A light lunch will be provided. If you are able to volunteer, please contact Sarah Bartlett at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The St. Mark's Chancel Bell Ringers will be ringing glorious sounds of praise to our King on Sunday, December 3 during the Traditional Service in Faith Worship Center. What a wonderful way to begin your morning and bless your Advent Season!
Christmas in Faith
Our gifted organist, Barbara Ritchie, and her friends will be sharing their annual gift of music with us and the community on Sunday, December 3. This celebration of the birth of Christ will begin at 3 pm in the Faith Worship Center. A reception will follow in The Crossings.
Children's Christmas Program - Building Christmas
Building Christmas, the Children's Christmas program, will be Sunday, December 10 at 8:30 and 11 am in the Life Worship Center. Come delight in the children as they sing, dance, and deliver the message that God is the Master Builder, and He sent Jesus to "fix" our sin and show us that now matter how dark our world may be, there is still a star shining bright to light our way back to Christ. A cookie reception will be held in The Crossings at 9:45 am. A contemporary service will be held in aith Worship Center at 9:45 am.
Women's Christmas Dinner
This very special Christmas tradition at St. Mark's will be held on Tuesday, December 12. Social time begins at 5:30 pm with dinner at 6:15 pm and a music program at 7:30 pm. Do a little Christmas shopping with our guests from SERRV (see info below), enjoy dinner catered by Emil's Hideaway, relax to special music by Kristin Glockhoff and Friends, and share a wonderful evening with friends. It all equals a great way to kick off the Advent Season!
Tickets will for this amazing event will be available starting next Sunday, November 19 in The Crossings. Cost is $16. Nursery will be availble with reservation.

St. Mark's Chancel Choir Presents - What Sweeter Music: A Christmas Cantata
Our Chancel Choir, under the direction of the talented Mark Logan, invite you to their annual Cantata on Sunday, December 17, in the Faith Worship Center at 8:30 and 11 am. Beautiful voices blended with the harmonious sounds of the orchestra make for an etraordinary musical expreience with a message. Contemporary services will be held at 9:45 and 11 am in Life Worship Center.
Night to Shine
The Tim Tebow Foundation has selected St. Mark's to host Night to Shine at Ashton Hill Farm in Cedar Rapids on February 9, 2018.
Night to Shine is an unforgettable prom night experience, centered on God’s love for people with special needs ages 14 and older. On this one night, over 400 churches, from around the world, will host Night to Shine for more than 75,000 honored guests through the support of 150,000+ volunteers!
