Wedding Music

Whenever a wedding is held in the church, the worship and celebration of the wedding should reflect that setting. Our church's policy is to allow any Christian music consistent with our Lutheran theology during the wedding service proper.

A wedding is a celebration worship. We are celebrating God’s ordinance of marriage and the wonder of human relationship. The music we use during the service reflects praise of God and asking for God’s presence and blessing in the relationship.

Musicians are available at our church to help select music. A short list of some selections follows. All music done at the service should be checked with the pastor and organist before official plans are made. The following list is not exhaustive; it is only a guide as to possible selections for the wedding service. Additional music may be found by meeting with the organist or accompanists of our church.

Music selections must be submitted to Barb Ritchie, Director of Music, at least two weeks prior to the wedding.

Not familiar with classical composers? That's okay!
