Funerals

We are here to help you through this difficult time with compassion and dignity for your loved one. A FaithLife pastor will meet with you and your family to assist with the details and preparations for the funeral service.

Please contact the church office to speak with a pastor, to arrange an appointment for funeral planning, or if you would like to request prayers for your family.

  • While at the hospital or home, you will need to contact a funeral home to provide the necessary care of your loved one.

One of our pastors will meet with you at the funeral home or at church to work out details of the service.

  • Please find a few things you should rely on the funeral home to provide you, or give guidance on:

    • Securing necessary permits and death certificates

    • Care of the body (casket or urn)

    • Cemetery choice (plot or niche space)

    • Obituary in the local newspaper

    • Flowers or other memorial funding

    • Processional to cemetery (transportation)

    • Visitation (if held at the funeral home)

    • Guest book and other essentials for service

  • There are several types of services to consider; like a celebration of life, memorial service, a service with or without a burial, as well as a graveside service with a FaithLife pastor present.

Following the confirmation of a funeral date, time, place and type of service, the FaithLife pastor, will arrange to gather the family and hear stories of your loved one. This will also be a time to select favorite Scripture(s) and discuss musical choices.

  • Our pastors are blessed to conduct funerals as our gift to you and your family. If you would like to make a donation to our funeral fund which covers the expenses and supports other funerals; it would be appreciated. Typical expenses for the church range from $600-$1000 if livestream or luncheons are chosen as part of your funeral arrangements.

It’s a blessing to walk with you through this difficult time. We want to support you before, during and after the planning process, as well as comfort family and friends through God’s promise of eternal life in heaven.
