Costa Rica

Proud to partner with CALMS

The Central American Lutheran Mission Society equips congregations to send “global teams” on missionary exercises using the best mission practices available. Strategies employed may include: medical/dental/vision clinics, sports camps, building homes and other construction projects, teaching conversational English, Bible study, evangelism, intercessory prayer, house-to-house visitation, leadership training, or children/youth ministry.

Recently, a CALMS team visited Costa Rica to explore new service opportunities. During their stay, they began a great relationship with Mercy Home Ministries, an organization dedicated to building homes for families in need. CALMS also had the chance to meet local leaders eager to collaborate in Christ mission.

One of the highlights of the Costa Rica trip was participating in the construction of a home in Artolita. The building process took four days of hard work, during which CALMS worked alongside members of Mercy Homes Ministry, the family, and local community members.

We are excited to take our first FaithLife mission trip to Costa Rica and help alongside CALMS and Mercy Home Ministries.
